WHY DO WE HAVE TO PAY TO USE THE POOL IF I AM A MEMBER?
To keep the yearly membership low, the lodge did not raise the membership
prices and charge everyone for the pool. The cost of maintaining the pool is really expensive! The price for pool chemicals has DOUBLED in the past 3 years. During the summer the PG&E bill averages $4,800 A MONTH and CAL AM water bill averages $1,050 A MONTH. The lodge loses money every year but it is worth it for our members to have a place to enjoy the sun.
WHERE DO MY MEMBERSHIP DUES GO?
Membership is $75 a year. Moose International receives $37 per member per
year, California/Nevada Moose association receives $4 per member per year. The Lodge receives $34 per member per YEAR from your dues. That is a little less than $3 a month per member. We have 675 members. The lodge receives $1,900 a month in membership dues. The lodge utility bills alone are over $6,500 a month. WHEW!
That is why we are constantly doing events and fundraising to support the lodge and many charities.
.
SWIMMING LESSONS?
We currently do not offer swim lessons.
We have the renovated upper deck available for rental. The rental fee is $275 for the day. The fee includes exclusive deck area use, tables, chairs. The fee for swimmers is only $8 per person when part of a party on the Upper Deck. UPPER PATIO OCCUPANCY LIMITED TO 35 PEOPLE for an event.
Only small personal floaters, noodles and inflatable arm bands are allowed in the pool. No air mattresses or other large flotation devices allowed. No footballs, beach balls, small toys or water guns allowed. Safety items for those learning to swim will be allowed at all times. The small plastic parts from small toys plug the filters and have caused damage to the pump resulting in a large expense.
The upper patio will be used as a picnic area when no event has the space rented. NO EATING OF ANY FOOD ON THE POOL DECK LEVEL. The only place food can be consumed is in the upper patio area or the lower patio area. THESE RULES APPLY TO EVERYONE.
Please be aware that food served outdoors can attract bees or other insects and take on the responsibility.
Members may bring food and non alcohol beverages to be enjoyed in the upper patio area ONLY.
Not around pool area.
ABSOLUTELY NO OUTSIDE ALCOHOL ALLOWED IN THE POOL AREA.
It is the MEMEBERS responsibility to supervise children attending their event.
Please be respectful of other members and guests. This is a Family Center and Lodge. Treat everyone like family. The Moose Lodge Family Center via their Board of Directors reserves the right to ask any member or guests to leave the premises for any behavior deemed unacceptable at any time.
